Of all of the places I have run of recent, this one is the most culturally interesting. And this was reason enough for me to come back after last year. My favorite thing about this area where these saddled motorcycles which to me represented the freedom and happiness amazingly still inherent with the locals in this region of old Tibet.
The race itself, is a gentle climb up a river valley which opens at 14,000ft with single track to the top of a 15,000ft col. The backdrop for this race is one of a kind.
